Mario & Luigi: Brothership launches today for Nintendo Switch. The brothers return in an island adventure where they'll set sail to explore islands and experience countless battles with enemies using a turn-based combat system. Mario & Luigi are back with their first joint adventure since 2015!
While the world of Concordia was originally united under the mighty Uni-Tree, it's now scattered into separate islands. After an unexpected arrival, Mario and Luigi set out to reconnect these islands and discover what happened. Together, they'll visit and explore numerous islands, from tropical rainforest environments to islands with established cities. During their adventure, they'll be joined by new characters like Connie and Snoutlet, as well as familiar faces from the Mushroom Kingdom – Peach, Bowser, and others.
To reunite Concordia, you'll need to connect the siblings through a strong brotherly bond. This bond is essential in battles, where precisely timed attacks, counterattacks, and dodges are crucial. You'll also have access to powerful Bros Attacks, performed by both main heroes.
As you progress and explore more islands, you'll learn Bros. Moves. Each offers unique abilities, like forming a ball together to overcome obstacles. "Luigi Logic" helps with exploration and boss battles. While his bursts of inspiration might be unconventional, they help Mario solve puzzles, collect items, and damage various villains.
While sailing Concordia's waters, you can equip Battle Plugs, granting strategic advantages like shock waves for hitting multiple enemies or guaranteed critical hits against flying foes. Experimenting with layered effects creates creative combinations that enhance both attacks and defense.
