Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door arrived today on Nintendo Switch

A fun adventure full of colorful characters and paperwork starts today: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has arrived on Nintendo Switch.

Mario visits Rogueport, a notorious town full of treacherous scoundrels, to help Princess Peach in her treasure hunt. However, Peach is nowhere to be found! After learning of the legend of the Crystal Stars, Mario sets out to find them and hopefully track down the Princess...

Mario isn't the only one hoping to find the Crystal Stars – and it's not just Bowser who's going to cause trouble this time! Will our hero be able to find these ancient artifacts, open the Thousand-Year Door buried deep beneath the city, and maybe even save the world in the end?

To find the Crystal Stars, you must venture beyond the city limits of Rogueport and explore the world. All sorts of discoveries await you along the way: a huge dragon hiding in a haunted castle, a cursed city shrouded in eternal twilight, daring detective work aboard a moving train, and much more! Take on enemies in turn-based combat on a cardboard stage in front of an enthusiastic audience. The better you do, the more the audience will cheer you on!

During his adventure, Mario discovers mysterious black chests that, when opened, endow him with special paper powers. These abilities can help the player overcome obstacles: they allow Mario to transform into a paper airplane to fly over chasms, or become paper-thin (literally) and squeeze through tight spaces. There are other abilities for you to discover.
