Players embark on a fight for survival on a mysterious alien planet, which they will explore with the help of their gigantic mech in Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition for Nintendo Switch. The game originally released in 2015 for Wii U and now comes to Nintendo Switch with improved graphics, new story elements, new characters, a new Skell, and other enhancements.

The year is 2054. Earth has been destroyed during an intergalactic war between two alien races, and humanity is on the brink of extinction. A small number of survivors flee aboard the USS White Whale, but crash on the vast and inhospitable planet Mira. Now it's up to you, as a member of the BLADE group, to save humanity from complete extinction.

Mira is a vast alien world filled with wide oceans, grassy plains, high mountains, exotic jungles, and other locations, each with its own secrets to discover. But beware, you'll also find threats that must be faced. During your journey, you'll not only move across the planet's surface and explore many large areas, but also, for example, watch as the local ecosystems come to life. You'll encounter a series of unknown, gargantuan beasts, with whom battles for valuable resources are inevitable.

Once you prove yourself as a BLADE, you'll earn the right to pilot and customize your own Skell, a very powerful machine that can fly, transform into a vehicle for fast travel on land, and possesses enormous power in battle. In Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, players can unlock a new Skell called "Hraesvelg".

Players can also connect with up to 31 other players online* and cooperate. Together, they will collect items or face enemies. A smaller group of four players can link up and fight against much stronger opponents. They can also recruit avatars of other players to progress in the main story.

More information about the game can be found on the game page Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.
