Take on the role of a private investigator's assistant at the Utsugi Detective Agency and help the police solve a murder case in Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club, out for Nintendo Switch today. In this interactive drama, you'll explore clues, collect testimonies and search for possible connections to horrific events from the past.

The plot of Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club is that a student was found dead with his head covered by a paper bag. On it was drawn a creepy smile - just like the victims of Emio, the man who laughs. He's referred to as an urban legend who murders. You'll play the assistant to a private eye who has been asked by the police to help solve the case. It's reminiscent of a series of unsolved murders from 18 years ago. Has the serial killer returned, or is there someone copying him?

In the Utsugi Detective Agency story, this is the first time in the entire Famicom Detective Club series that you'll also get to play as the well-known character Ayumi Tachibana during select parts. As an investigative duo, you will delve deeper into this intense story full of suspicion, isolation and fragility.

Players can begin their investigation with the game's episodic demo, which features three parts and is available on the Nintendo eShop. Specifically, the prologue and first three chapters await them. Any progress they make will carry over to the full version.
