The all-new Xpanstor 4 uses USB 3.2 Gen 2 with Type-C connector. The Xpanstor 4 is also backwards compatible with ASUSTOR NAS devices that support USB 3.2 Gen 1, and will operate at the maximum 5 Gbps speed that these devices can sustain. With the Xpanstor 4, you can expand the capacity of your NAS device to expand your workflow as needed.

MyArchive Welcome
The Xpanstor 4 supports MyArchive cold storage technology. Directly insert a MyArchive hard drive into an available compartment and access your data, making accessing your data extremely convenient. Through MyArchive, you can also set up backup schedules with automatic connects and disconnects, making backups easier and more convenient.

Sleeps while your NAS sleeps
When the connected NAS goes to sleep or shuts down, Xpanstor 4 will simultaneously go into sleep mode to save power and hardware longevity. Also, the brightness of the LEDs in the Xpanstor 4 synchronizes with your NAS, ensuring that no bright lights are on when the NAS is powered off

Cool and quiet
The internal fan, which can be found inside the Xpanstor 4, automatically adjusts its speed according to the temperature of the hard drive, maintaining a balance between sound and performance.

Stable USB connectivity
Xpanstor 4 has a specially designed USB-C connector and cable. The cable included with the Xpanstor 4 locks with the expansion unit using two screws on each side of the cable to lock it in the expansion unit and prevent accidental disconnection. The included USB cable is non-proprietary and replaceable, ensuring greater durability and less electronic waste.

Suitable for PC
The Xpanstor 4 device also works well as a DAS solution. By connecting the Xpanstor 4 to a PC, you can access up to four independent drives that can be used on a Windows, Mac or Linux computer for applications that include data storage, disk cloning and diagnostics, among others.
